Why customers choose us
We do restorations with the experience, tools, and parts to do it right.
Lamp repair is a genuine trade skill. We understand how fixtures — especially older ones — were originally constructed, and how to restore them correctly.
We replace deteriorated wiring, worn sockets, damaged switches, and aging components using professional methods intended for long-term reliability.
Many lamps require more than rewiring. We perform limited metal fabrication, soldering, brazing, and structural stabilization when needed.
Inherited, antique, discontinued, or personally significant — we take reasonable steps to preserve original appearance and character whenever practical.
We will tell you when a repair makes sense — and when it does not. No pressure, no guesswork.
All repairs use quality electrical components and modern safety practices while preserving the integrity of vintage lighting.
We are happy to evaluate your fixture and discuss realistic repair options.
What we do
We specialize in electrical restoration, structural repair, and preservation of vintage, antique, and sentimental lighting.
01
Full lamp and fixture rewiring using proper gauge wire, heat-rated insulation, and appropriate replacement cord. Addresses brittle, deteriorated, or unsafe original wiring throughout the fixture.
02
Replacement of heat-damaged, corroded, or non-functioning lamp sockets with UL listed components matched to the fixture's original configuration and rating.
03
Replacement of failed or unsafe switches — inline, turn-knob, pull-chain, and others — with proper electrical components.
04
Replacement of deteriorated, damaged, or unsafe power cords with period-appropriate or matching replacement cord in correct gauge and configuration.
05
Careful electrical and structural restoration of older fixtures with attention to original construction methods and preservation of the fixture's character and appearance.
06
Tightening, reinforcement, and stabilization of loose arms, bases, fittings, and assemblies that have loosened or been damaged over time or during moving.
07
Metal joining and repair of cracked, broken, or separated metal components where structural integrity must be restored.
08
Proper grounding of metal lamp bodies and fixtures for safety, particularly important in older lamps not originally built to modern standards.
09
Diagnosis of intermittent problems, flickering, failures to light, and other electrical issues in lamps and fixtures. We identify the actual cause — not just a symptom.
10
Rewiring, socket replacement, structural repair, and in-shop cleaning of chandeliers. Due to size and complexity, chandelier work is performed in our shop only.
11
Honest assessment of your fixture's condition and repairability. We will tell you what it needs, what it will likely cost, and whether the repair makes practical sense.
We generally do not repair lamp shades. If we cannot help, we will try to connect you with someone who may be able to assist.
Professional lamp restoration is skilled labor and varies by condition and complexity. Simple repairs may be straightforward; older, damaged, or previously repaired lamps often require substantially more time. We are happy to evaluate your lamp and discuss realistic options before any work begins.
We will assess the condition and give you an honest opinion before any work begins.

About Tucson Lamp Repair
At Tucson Lamp Repair, we specialize in professional lamp and chandelier rewiring, socket replacement, structural repair, soldering, and preservation-focused restoration for vintage, antique, and sentimental lighting.
Proper lamp restoration requires experience, safe electrical practices, fabrication skills, the right replacement parts, and an understanding of how fixtures — especially older ones — were originally constructed.
Whether your lamp is a family heirloom, a vintage find, or simply something worth preserving, our goal is to return it to safe, reliable working condition while extending its lifespan whenever possible.
We work on all types of table lamps, floor lamps, wall sconces, and chandeliers. Many of our customers bring us fixtures that have been damaged during a move — a surprisingly common scenario — and we have extensive experience with the kinds of structural and electrical damage that results.
Our credibility comes from specialization. We have invested in the knowledge, tools, and inventory to do it properly. We follow modern safety practices on every repair, including fixtures that were originally built to older standards.
